The Bible of Mithra A Book of Clarity edition by Andre Atabaki Politics Social Sciences eBooks

“The Bible of Mithra” is the gospel of Self-Realization. Its purpose is not to convert man from one religion to another or entangle him in obscure rituals or philosophies but to awaken him from the slumber of a dream. The principal aim behind the Bible of Mithras is the immediate removal of mental blocks and obstacles that suppress the awakening of subtle spiritual forces. It is an invaluable guide for those earnest seekers whose insatiable desire can’t be quenched by anything other than the actual experience of the supreme reality.
There are numerous books about the history of Mithras but until now there has never been a central text analogous to the Bible that would unveil its essential philosophy. The doctrine and mystical rituals of Mithras have been kept secret from the general public for more than 2,000 years. Spirituality is simplicity and the creation of a meaningful and fulfilling life. A spiritual practice that entangles our mind with convoluted and dogmatic beliefs which instill the unnatural feelings of fear, shame and guilt has lost its efficacy. Spirituality has to offer us solutions to our modern present day challenges and deepen our understanding of the workings of the cosmos. Mithras is the bridge between true inner science and spiritualism. It is the path of the unconquerable Sun and those who walk upon it shall always walk in the light.

I developed a particular interest in Mithraism while in college, reading everything I could find on the Roman cult but there really wasn't much except what was written by early Christian apologists. I also read the Avestan literature as well as what little survives in the Vedic writings. All very interesting, but the more I read the more I realised that it was only scratching the surface....like looking at a photograph as compared to seeing what the photographer saw with his own eyes when taking the picture. The first mention of this book I found through the author's YouTube video, and my wife bought it for me as a gift. Upon reading it this book felt as if it presented the reality rather than the image. There are some ideas in it that will be familiar to those who have studied Hermeticism and other mystical schools of thought, and some of the ideas are rather esoteric so it will require a few reads to process it. For me it is a pearl that I've sought for years, and I am grateful that the author chose to bring it forth into the Light.Product details

The Bible of Mithra A Book of Clarity edition by Andre Atabaki Politics Social Sciences eBooks Reviews
I enjoy reading different books on spirituality and various religions, so I read each one with an open mind trying to leave my own biases out. This book was obviously well thought out and researched to show the history of the Mithra and its way to a "path of awakening" which is "the end of suffering and the birth of joy, tranquilty, and trust which is not dependent on things or circumstances". I found this writing very interesting, albeit a bit confusing in parts that I will have to reread to gain a better understanding. The author states that The Bible of Mithra is the gospel of "Self-Realization", "Its purpose is not to convert man from one religion to another or entangle him in obscure rituals and philosophies, but to awaken him from the slumber of a trance." I feel Andre Atabaki has done a good job just revealing what Mitrhaism is and leaves the rest up to the reader.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Very interesting to read this now. I have just begun Elaine Pagels' book "Revelations" and have been introduced to the knowledge that numerous creation myths existed that found their way, in parts, into the cosmology of the Hebrews. Of course, this is the history of mankind. Often, when one civilization replaced another, the newcomers rewrote history to indicate that they had always been, as they were favored by their god or gods. Or as we like to say, history is written by the winners.
In any case, this is a very interesting read. I can't say that it would be a good fit for beginners, as it certainly helped me to have had experience with certain practices and ways of thought. So, for that reason, I was able to pull useful approaches from this work. For someone stepping into this brand new, it would be hard to swallow whole. The trick, then, is to read the text as a set of principles for understanding and interacting with your reality. Ultimately, the goal is to realize your true nature.
Again, I don't know that this book is for everyone. That said, if a fresh perspective on what you already believe and experience might be enlightening, then I can certainly recommend this work.

I am very impressed by this book and enjoyed it a lot. It is rich and concise and covers all the main points of traditional metaphysics which is the same as those of all authentic schools of mysticism. The conclusions of the book are also in perfect harmony with those of German Phenomenology of Edmund Husserl. So the content and conclusions of this book can be approached and understood whether you speak the language of science, religion, or philosophy. It is very clear that the author knows his subject matter and has realized them inwardly. In no other way can anyone know and express these truths the way it is done in the book.
Atabaki’s book beautifully expresses and explains these eternal truths within the framework of one of the oldest mystical traditions, i.e. Mithraism; therefore, we see in the book a language of light and darkness as opposed to the Abrahamic counterpart of God and the sin. And this is one of the things I like about this book The author enters neither into the rhetoric of formal religion nor into the dry and technical jargon of metaphysics, and yet he makes his point, and the point of every religion, by reaching deep into the heart of the reader.
The Bible of Mithra draws from commonsense and the facts of immediate experience and comes to the intriguing conclusions that are identical with those expressed by mystics and authentic spiritual figures, conclusions that are directly experienceable for everyone. I can say the books is kind of like the message of the book “The Perennial Philosophy” by Aldous Huxley. And of course the emphasis of the book is, contrary to what we mostly see in formal religion, on direct experience and realization The conclusion, the Truth, is not a mere idea to be entertained in the mind but a living Reality to be realized in the heart and by the whole of our being.
I highly recommend this book to any seeker of truth, for intellectual and sentimental bent alike. I would recommend it as an eternal company.
